Outdoor cameras are fantastic for enhancing home and small business security, as well as for keeping an eye on kids in the yard. But an outdoor camera also must be ruggedly built for outdoor use. And it must get power, outdoors. And ideally it should also work in the dark.
The VistaCam 1100 provides an elegant solution to all these requirements, delivering High Definition video for all outdoor surveillance applications. Power is delivered to the camera through the single standard Ethernet cable, using an outdoor certified cable for outdoor applications. At night, built-in infrared illumination lets you see in the dark.
The PoE system built into this camera provides an elegant power solution. Getting power to an outdoor camera can be tricky. Batteries are too expensive and time consuming, because cameras use way more power than most other home security and home automation devices. Power over Ethernet (PoE) brings power to the camera over the same cable that connects it to a simple plug-in power cord and Wi-Fi adapter, supplied with the VistaCam 1100.
