VeraEasyStart is a personalized support system to get your secure smart home up and running.

Each call with a Vera expert is a personalized experience; your Vera expert will work with you to set-up your automated house, from explaining every step to testing the end result.

 

How does it work?

  1. To begin, place your order for VeraEasyStart

VeraEasyStart can be found under the services menu or as a standalone product in our shop: VeraEasyStart. After you select what you would like to set up, add it to the cart and press "checkout."
 

  1. You will be asked to fill out an enrollment form.


Many of the questions are optional, but the more details you give, the better help our VeraEasyStart agents can give.

  1. We will confirm your appointment via email


As soon as you finish completing the form, a VeraEasyStart agent will reach out to you to schedule your appointment. Your appointment may be scheduled between 10:00PM and 3:00PM pacific time, 7 days a week.

  1. Start your telephone appointment


Note: Sessions are scheduled at least 24 hours in advance to allow our experts to prepare for your call.

Q: How long is a VeraEasyStart session?

A: Each call with a Vera expert is a personalized experience and typically lasts one hour. 


Q: What if the session is finished undertime? 

A: If the call is under 30 minutes, you will only be charged $14.99


Q: What do I need to be ready with, prior to the VeraEasyStart appointment?

A: It is best that you provide us with all the information that we request prior to the appointment so that we can best prepare. We recommend that you have your Wi-Fi network set up and password handy. Having a great Wi-Fi is essential for any smart home. However, for setup, it is best to connect your controller to the Internet via an Ethernet cable.


Q: What devices does this cover?

A: VeraEasyStart covers device pairing for devices listed on our Works with Vera list.

Note: When it comes to devices in our "Works with Vera list," we urge you to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installation. If you are not comfortable working with electricity, please contact an electrician. For electricians or handyman services, we cannot make a recommendation. We suggest that you use a rating service like Yelp.com and look for good reviews from reputable websites or personal references.
