Q: How do you Factory Reset a Vera controller?
A: You can return Vera to the factory default state, wiping out all the configuration changes you have made.
- First, if you want to reset the Z-Wave network (the list of Z-Wave devices that you have paired), open your Vera's Dashboard page and click Settings>Z-Wave Settings, then click on Advanced >Reset Z-Wave network, and press Go.
- Next, if you also want to reset everything else in Vera, including any changes you have made, then from your Vera's Dashboard page, click Settings > Backup, and click Restore Factory Defaults.
You can also perform a reset using the reset button on the controller. Here are the instructions to reset current and legacy Vera controller models using the reset button:
VeraSecure
To reset your VeraSecure to factory defaults, press the reset button on the side, 6 times, in 6 seconds. If you only need to reset the network settings (in case you have configured some bad network settings and lost connectivity), you can do that by pressing the reset button 3 times in 6 seconds.
VeraPlus
To reset VeraPlus' network settings, press the reset button 3 times in 6 seconds. The network LED will blink to confirm that it has reset. Press the reset button 6 times in 6 seconds to reset the unit to default settings, clearing the account from the unit as well. The power LED will blink to confirm that the full reset has occurred.
VeraEdge
To reset the network setting on VeraEdge, hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds. To reset VeraEdge to factory defaults and clear the account, hold the reset button for over 20 seconds.
