- Go to the Alexa App
- Click on the Menu button
- Select Smart Home
- Click Scenes
- Click Discover
Alexa will now scan your network for any Scenes on your Vera unit; they will automatically be added to the Scenes tab.
Note:For the Scenes to be discovered, Alexa Skill needs to be installed on your Vera device. Also, the Scenes need to be added to the list of controllable devices. You can learn how to do this with our Alexa User Guide
How to turn on Scenes using Alexa:
In your Amazon Scenes tab, all Vera Scenes will be listed by name. If you signal Alexa and then say a Scene name, the Scene will be executed.
For example, for a Scene called "Outside Lights" that turns on and off the outside lights, you can say "Alexa, turn on Outside Lights," and the Scene will be triggered.
Note: If you have Scenes that work in multiple rooms, adjust the command to include the name of the room. Example: "Alexa, turn on Bedroom Thermostat"
