Your VeraPlus controller can be easily managed using the LED light status and buttons
This guide will teach you:

VeraPlus LED's Operation
Your VeraPlus has seven LED lights. Starting from the top, the seven lights are the Power light, Internet light, Wi-Fi light, Z-Wave light, Service light, Zigbee light, and Bluetooth light. Below you will find the meaning of each LED light state:
Power LED
- On - Power On/Normal Operation
- Off - Power Off
- Flashing very fast - Firmware Upgrade in progress
Internet LED
- On - Connected to Ethernet
- Off - Not connected to Ethernet
- Flashing slow - Unit cannot connect to the internet
WiFi LED
- On - WiFi enabled
- Off - WiFi disabled
- Flashing very fast - WPS is active
Z-Wave LED
- On - Z-Wave function enabled
- Off - Z-Wave function disabled
- Flashing slow - Include mode
- Flashing fast - Exclude mode
Service LED
- On - Cloud Service connected and working properly
- Off - No Cloud Service installed
- Flashing slow - Cloud Service is not sending data properly
ZigBee LED
- On - Z-Wave function enabled
- Off - Z-Wave function disabled
- Flashing slow - Include mode
- Flashing fast - Zigbee device was successfully included
Bluetooth LED
- On - Z-Wave function enabled
- Off - Z-Wave function disabled
- Flashing slow - Unit is in scan mode
- Flashing fast - Unit is in pairing mode
- Flashing very fast - Bluetooth device was successfully paired
VeraPlus Button Operation
Your VeraPlus has three buttons which can be used to reset the unit, include or exclude Z-Wave devices, ZigBee devices and pair networked devices over WPS.
Reset Button
The reset button requires a pin or paperclip to be pressed. It has two functions:
- To reset the controller network settings, press the button 3 times within 6 seconds
- To reset the controller to factory defaults, press the button 6 times within 6 seconds
Sync Button
The Sync button is used to start the selection mode between the available radios.
To start the selection, press the Sync button. The Sync button is used as a confirmation button when switching between the wireless modes.
Select Button
The Select button is used to toggle between the 4 available radios on the controller. Once pressed, it will show which radio is being used by blinking the corresponding LED light.
- Wi-Fi radio: After pressing the Sync button, press the Select button once. The Wi-Fi LED will start blinking to indicate that the WPS feature can be selected. Pressing the Sync button again will start the 2 minutes WPS countdown
- Include/Exclude Radio: When the Select button is pressed a second time, the Z-Wave LED light will start blinking to indicate that the Z-Wave include/exclude option can be selected. To include devices, you will need to press the Sync button once fast; to exclude devices, you will need to press the Sync button for 3 seconds. It will timeout after 5 minutes
- Zigbee Radio: When the Select button is pressed a third time, the ZigBee LED light will start blinking to indicate that the ZigBee pair option can be selected. To exit the selection mode, press the Selectbutton for 3 seconds
