The reset procedure is designed to recover the Atom functionality after undesired user actions or internal failures. There are 3 reset commands which can be executed: “Soft reset” and “Reset to factory defaults”, and "Reset WiFi settings".
The soft reset clears all connected devices, removes user plugins but leaves the Atom hub connected to the network and the to user account in the cloud. It can be started remotely from UI and after reset hub will remain accessible to user.
Reset to factory defaults procedure is for situations when soft reset is not enough to recover from all errors or user is not going to use the hub anymore. After this type for the reset, the hub will be brought to a default state with no network and cloud connections and further connections to all devices will be lost.
Reset WiFi settings will clear corresponding settings on the Hub. Then, after restart, Hub will set up default access point that will make it accessible for local connections.
